Third Grade
Our third grade classroom serves as a transitional year where students pivot from "learning to read" to "reading to learn" within a highly supportive environment. This grade bridges early primary education and upper elementary studies, typically serving children ages 8 to 9 in a smaller classroom size. We encompass enriched curriculum and character-focused development that go beyond standard state requirements. Tailoring lessons to individual learning paces.
Academic Core and Advanced Skills
Deepening Literacy: Students tackle complex writing assignments like research papers, analyze literary elements in novels, and frequently learn cursive.
Mathematical Milestones: The curriculum focuses heavily on multiplication and division mastery, early fractions, and multi-step word problems.
Critical Thinking: Logic, cause-and-effect reasoning, and civil debate are woven directly into history and science lessons.
